April 2026. A day of liturgy and community. The third day of the exchange was a special day – the day on which the meeting took on its deepest, spiritual dimension.
On Saturday, students and teachers from Sečanj took part in a joint liturgy in the Orthodox church in Sosnowiec, together with the parishioners of the local parish. The service was celebrated by the Polish priest Father Mikołaj and the Serbian priest Father Ivan. In one space and in one service, two nations, two traditions and two hearts were united.
After the liturgy, students and teachers from the Silesian Technical Scientific Institutes also joined the communal barbecue. The time spent at the table, in conversation and in a hospitable atmosphere became one of the warmest and most authentic moments of the entire exchange. It was then that it was most fully visible that true integration is not born of programmes, but of presence, openness and mutual love.
The rest of the day the participants spent freely getting to know Katowice, and in particular the picturesque Nikiszowiec district – walking, talking and building relationships that go beyond the framework of a school exchange.
Saturday showed that this visit is not only an educational project. It is an experience of community, faith and humanity – values that the Radović Foundation wishes to nurture and pass on.
Radović Foundation – we build bridges of knowledge, culture, spirit and friendship between Poland and Serbia.
